Simcoe hops are basically "out of stock" everywhere.  I was planning on using some in a couple of upcoming recipes.  I'd be interested in hearing suggestions for alternative hops that would come close to replicating Simcoe?  Thx in advance...

You could try Falconers flight.  I ready it is a blend of Simcoe and Citra.

You can also go with Citra as a replacement but I would cut the amount by 30%.

I also read of using Bravo.

For bittering, I would use Magnum.

Great suggestions, guys, thanks very much.  Since I'm mostly intrested in the piney aspect of Simcoe, I think I might try the Falconer's Flight suggestion.  Or, possibly Chinook.

Thanks again -- cheers!

I love Simcoe ..... It has been showing up recently at the homebrew stores. At least I know, according to their latest newsletter, William's Brewing in San Leandro has it.
