If I (we) can fix this, we may have a homebrew convert.

For the wife's MEAD...

OG 1.113
First rack (after 2 weeks in primary) 1.064
Suggested bottling gravity 1.013

Have any sugestions on "unsticking" this stuff?? ???
IF you believe it is stuck.  It appears the fermentation has stopped.

I've never made a mead, so I can't help her much.  Besides, I've learned just to let 'er go and not get in her way!!  :-X

Ive never made mead before (would like to but thats a diferent show...), but from what ive heard (a freind of mine brews mead alot) it takes a month or two for mead to fully ferment...  maybe longer depending... :-/

has anyone else heard or experienced the same???

A suggested time in the secondary is 2-4 weeks, so I think it will finish out within that time.

Did you use honey? Honey takes the yeast a little longer to work on, try warming it up (not with direct heat, just a warmer place) 70-75 but not much warmer or you won't like it, and it may give the yeast a little kick in the seat.  :D

EDIT: Don't forget 1.113 is a BIG beer and will take longer anyway.
