Hi all,
I may be wrong here but I thought I'd ask.
I am doing BIAB with a reflectix insulated 20 litre pot. I'm doing maxi-biab and calculate the maximum strike water I can fit in my pot with my recipe's grain mass (with a little room for error). I have practically no mash tun dead space.
My point is that since I heat my strike water in this pot, then add my grain, the mass of the mash tun / pot will be buffering the temperature above the desired strike tempurature.
Do the mass tun specific heat calculations already take this into account or is it possible to use a negative number for the mash tun specific heat?
Thanks!
