I am having issues with color of my recipes versus the color of the actual brew.
I brewed an Amber Ale that was about 8.25 SRM per the program. The brew, when compared to the SRM color chart, turns out to be a 19-20. I recently brewed a Kolsch style ale and the actual color of the beer is WAY darker than the "theoretical" color.
Are others experiencing this? Right now I'm brewing all extract. I notice that the units of color in the LME library are SRM. Shouldn't they be Lovibond?
Does the program use the Morey Formula to determine color? If so, why am I not seeing more accuracy?
