Errors/crash when opening XML from hopville

Just starting with beer smith and i wanted to copy my hopville recipes into beer smith.
Heres what I did:

right click  xml button in hopville, save target as, savel xml file  ( have tried both all recipes and as single recipe). xml file looks reasonable as far as I know.

In beersmith do file -> Open, select xml file, select file and open.

I get the following error:

Assertion Failed! - [File .\BSDocument.cpp: 1780 compiled Dec 20 2011]

when I press ok it says

wxwidgets debug alert

./Sub/cpp(826): assert "0" failed in Sub::SAssert()

the same exact thing happens on both my laptop and desktop

I was able to import my Hopville recipes, but nearly all the ingredients were at different amounts.  :-\ It would have been easier just to write the recipes in again. Not a problem for the few recipes I had created, but a major pain if you have a bunch.
