I fond this same issue with BeerSmith 1.4. Yesterday I brewed a wit beer using some wheat DME. BeerSmith has this DME listed at 8 SRM. I can't find any extract manufacturer or seller that has a wheat based extract that dark. For instance, Briess is 3 SRM at 8 degrees plato. I know I can change this each time I use the product, but I wonder if an SRM number that better reflects a true average shouldnt be included in a future update? This situation also seems to apply to the Light and Pale extracts.
