I am trying to add a beerstyle by going to INSERT > ADD STYLE. When pressing OK it seems the style doesn't save. Doing the same procedure when adding e.g. a grain it saves instantly. Now that I have created a Test-grain... is there any way I can delete added items

Hi,
The problem is that only one style guide is displayed at a time (BJCP 2008 by default), so if your added style is not in that guide it won't show up.
You can change the style guide using the brewing options under Options->Brewing -- look for style guide to display.
