I'm a new Beersmith user and I just made my first batch with the software.  However, I have a question I'm hoping somebody can help me with.  When I add dry hops to a Beersmith recipe, they show up in the "Dry Hop/Bottling Ingredients" section.  Is there any way to make them show up in the "Secondary Ingredients" section?

jwm,

I keep learning about BeerSmith features, thanks largely to this forum. After a bit of searching I found the "Dry Hop/Bottling Ingredients" section in the brewsheet report, but I can't find the "secondary Ingredients" section. Where is it?

Dan,

It may be necessary to add secondary ingredients for that section to appear on the report - I have oak chips as an ingredient added to the secondary fermentation.

I'd like for my dry hops (which I will be adding at the same time as the oak) to show up in the same spot...

Add Misc->Oak Chips.  There is a pull-down menu for oak chips which allows you to use it in the secondary (and it's the default).

Duuuh! That was easy. It does clarify the brewsheet, doesn't it? It's as simple as adding an item to the "miscellaneous ingredients" list for each hop variety you want to use.

Thanks.

Dan
