Date picker in Yeast Starter Tab

I realize this was posted before, but it was several months ago so I figured it was worth looking at again.  When I'm in a recipe, and I move to the Starter tab/button if I select the yeast that I chose in the Design section the date has defaulted to 3/6/2011.  When I try to adjust using the date picker, no input is allowed.  I can type a new date.  I cannot choose one using the mouse cursor.  If I'm not paying attention, I end up with a 2L starter due to the yeast viability being so low.  I am using Mac 64 bit BeerSmith 2.1.02 on OSX Mountain Lion running on a Mid 2010 Macbook Pro.

Similar problem here except that my default date is 2/27/2011.

It would be nice if a) the picker worked; and b) if the default yeast packaging date would revert at least to the recipe creation date and not some random point in the past.
