Hops added.

I have a Red Ale 5 gal. kit. It calls for putting 4.2% hopps in twice durning boiling. If I added an extra pack half way through, would I expect much change in the flavor? Would it make it better? I want it to taste as near like Killians as possible. If anyone knows of a kit I can buy that is close please PM me.

That all depends on the OG, what kind of hops and how many.

1 Oz at begining and 1 Oz last 5 minutes. What recp. calls for. I want to add another 1 Oz at 30 minutes.

Willamette 4.2   1 Oz bag

I am a hophead so the more the better.

If you are shooting for Killians (the import from west of the Mississippi) I would leave them out.  Now it has been a long time since I had one but I don not remeber any hop aroma and very little flavor.

I think it would it will make it better, but like I said I love hops.

What is the OG?
