New user, and I just entered my first formulation. Why does the calories per pint remain at 43? I entered another formulation with the same result.

Calories are calculated from the actual recorded OG/FG, not from the estimated. Punch in either your real recorded numbers after brewing/fermentation, or the estimated numbers that BeerSmith gives you (and change them to the real numbers later). You'll get a calorie estimation then.
