When you click on an item in inventory view, the popup window should have a notes button that can store information about the ingredients. The note should persist until removed or ingredient amount reaches zero. The note should also store date and inventory amount when the note was produced.
I would use this to store information such as place of purchase, date of purchase. It would also be useful as a method to designate an ingredient for a certain batch.
Or perhaps another column in the inventory view that accounts for future batches. I don't think Beersmith currently let's you put future batches in, but if it does, it should show in inventory which ingredients have future plans for them.
