Simple question - can you use Beersmith to create new brewing sessions, so that an original recipe does not have to be altered to reflect unavailable ingredients, etc.  It is the brew session that uses the modified recipe, not the original recipe which was created?

Like in Promash.

Thanks, Mike

Add the recipe to your brew log and then modify it for the current ingredients you have.  This will leave the original recipe intact and create a log of the specific recipe you followed on that date.  I have my calendar set up to show only the recipes in the brew log, so that each recipe I actually brew is reflected on the calendar.
