Making recipes read-only

Is it possible to make recipes read-only?
I have inadvertently modified one of my recipes, now I don't have the original. I know I can make copies but they could still be overwritten.
It would be nice to be able to lock a recipe so it cannot be changed.

Jon,
  Under the Options Dialog (tools menu) - go to the advanced tab and you can set an option to confirm changes before closing a recipe - that should help in the short term.

   I did add a new option to lock recipes (per your request) to the next version of BeerSmith - though it has not been released yet.  It should address your problem in the long term.
