I have some questions concerning washing and making a starter with lager yeast.  I have washed ale yeast and have made starters with it and have had great success. I have washed two batches of lager yeast without much success.  When I make the starter It don’t seem to work off like the ale yeast.  I don’t know if the yeast is no good or if it is good and it just acts different.  The yeast that I washed and made a starter with is SAFELAGER 34/70 .  It is a  dry lager yeast.  When washing lager yeast does the trub not separate from the yeast?  It didn’t seen to with this yeast.  and when I made a starter it don't seem to work off like the ale yeast.  Can any one help?  I would like to wash my lager yeast and reuse it a few times if I can.

Thanks,
Grayeagle
