Late extract boil time greyed out for some items

I have a recipe that includes a variety of late additions to the boil, for example Cane Sugar. When I go to the design tab and double click some of ingredients the edit window opens, but the Late Extract Boil Time boxed is greyed out. There are other ingredients that allow me to edit the boil time. Any ideas how to enable boil time editing for all ingredients?

Another fun work-around in BS.  I open the ingredient in the recipe and change the designation in the dialog box to extract.  Then I can set the late extract addition time to the value I want.  When I change the ingredient back to sugar or whichever it may be, the late boil addition is retained.

Thanks for this post!  Just ran into the same issue.  Workaround is clunky, but it does the job!!!
