I thought a less serious and fun thread would be nice.  My wife asked me to put together a Christmas list, since she knows nothing about brewing.  She asked for specifics about websites, the homebrew supply store, etc., so that she gets me what I want and need.

She's a good woman.  I'm very lucky.

My list includes the books, "Hops", "Water" and "Brewing Classic Styles".  I also am hoping for a refractometer and another 8 gallon bucket fermentor.  I'd really like about a 20 gallon boil pot, but that is a little premature.  I have the ability to mash up to 20 gallons, but I'm still concentrating on 5 gallon batch sizes, so my 13 gallon boil pot will suffice for now.

Eventually I want to have a Keezer, but that is way out of the Christmas list price range.  I'm currently working on designing a 6 keg chest freezer conversion.  My wish list also includes a fermentation chamber, but that isn't something she'd be able to get for me.

What's on your list and why do you want it.  Is it just more of what you already have, such as fermentors?  Or is it upgrades that will make brew days better?  Keg supplies?

Let's have some fun with this one.

Danby 10.2 Freezer for Keezer.
(Allowing Fridge to be used for Fermentation chamber!)

Kegs

Pump

Barley Crusher...
Carboy/Fermenting bucket washer - Northern Brewer
Temperature controller
Kegging system.....

The first one is probably the only realistic one, and perhaps the second.

Plate chiller. Got my pump and Hop Rocket for my B'Day this year, and the desire to automate my system keeps growing...

I'd love to have a pump....a LOT.  lifting 5.5 gallons + kettle about head high onto my brew stand is getting tiresome (and requires help).

Grain mill/Barley crusher

As a newbie I am relying on starter kits that come already milled, but I'd love to get more comfortable within the next few months to try creating my own batches by experimenting with various grains of my own.

Air Hog 2000 aeration system, a new BN hoodie, and a new spittoon for tasting spice beers are coming on Santa's sleigh!!!
Nice idea for a post, Scott!

I'm just guessing he means kind of like at a wine tasting where you are <ahem> supposed to spit it out.  I've been to plenty of wine tastings...never used one yet.  lol

Obviously Santa came and went, and I shouldn't brag but I will anyway. I got this new software called BeerSmith 2, so I'm new to this forum and will list my gifts I received. 10 gal brew pot with temp gage and screen. A glass sight and thermometer for my 10 gal sparge tank. A 10 gal mash/lauter tun with false bottom and temp gage. A sparge arm. A plate heat exchanger and pump. A new second burner and propane tank. A refractometer. Eight six gallon food grade buckets and lids. Mylar bags and oxygen inhibitors for storage. -Mark

Wow!  You're either a newlywed and she really wanted to please you....or...you're not married and got everything you wanted!

Just kidding!

I received a stir plate and an Erlenmeyer 2000 ml Flask to go with it.  In addition I got $70 worth of gift certificates for the best homebrew store in America (Baders in Vancouver, WA).  I also received a 50 lb. bag of Great Western NW Pale Ale Malt, the remaining ingredients to make a porter (I got the recipe from the head brewere at Brew Brothers Microbrewery at the Silver Legacy Casino in Reno, Nevada), and a set of 4 flight glasses on one of those flight boards.

For my brewing partner/nephew, I got him the ingredients for a gingerbread lager that we're going to make.  He asked for a holiday/spice/winter warmer/lager for his next beer and had asked me to come up with a recipe.  I had help here creating the recipe from brewfun and slurk.  Thank you gentlemen for the assistance!!

Santa (aka my wife) was good to me this year!  Got a maple mash paddle with Buck Branch Brewing (what we call ourselves) engraved in the handle, a new Johnson temp controller, and a barley crusher!

Interesting.  My wife and I had a new home built in a subdivision called "Fieldstone", so we call ourselves Fieldstone Brewing.

Buck Branch is the name of the stream that runs through our property, plus we have deer in the yard all the time , so we thought it would make for a good name.

I like Fieldstone...has a nice sound to it.
