oak chip question

R

Rookie

I was thinking of aging my next batch (porter) on some oak chips that I've been soaking in Wild Turkey.
Any ideas on how long I should leave it.

The last time I did wood chips I went for 2 weeks.

Just like dry hoping.

It should be great ;D

Slight change of plans. I am going to increase the size of this batch and age half on oak chips and half with a vanilla bean or two.

Sounds good!

When can I expect my shipment ;)

Let us know how it comes out!

I used 1 oz.

It is better to start with small amounts and taylor it to your tast.
