2.2.11 AntiVirus Conflict
« on: December 03, 2013, 09:10:04 AM »
Windows 8.0.  Upon opening BeerSmith, this build causes Avast 2014.9.2008 (latest release) to try a deep scan of the .exe file. This results in an error launching IE and then a permissions error. With Avast disabled, BeerSmith opens and performs properly.

Adding the BeerSmith .exe program folder as an Avast exclusion is the fix.

Previous BS2.2 builds did not create this conflict.

It is likely due to the fact I've not posted it to the "official" download page, so no one is using it (except a few people here).  The virus scanners often use volume as an indicator.
