Hi all!

I am fairly new to the brewing game, and I am wondering if it is possible to prime your beer for bottling using cooled wort?

And if so, how would you calculate the conversion from sugar use to wort use (SG equals how much sugar per liter?)?

Thanks!

The technique you're talking about is called Krausening. It's a classic method of carbonating beer, but requires some technique.

In March of 2010, Brad posted this article on the subject: http://beersmith.com/blog/2010/03/22/krausening-home-brewed-beer/

There are other articles and forum threads that cover it, too. This is a good start.

BTW, Krausen in  a term that has several applications in brewing. Be aware of the context it's used.
