Scott Ickes
Grandmaster Brewer
I think our brew club is going to do a "Pot Luck" brew day. The yeast will be predetermined with someone making a starter. Every one else will be showing up with some ingredients, "hops or grains", but only one ingredient per person. In addition, they'll bring some homebrew to share and a pot luck food to share.
Once everyone has arrived, we'll make a list of all of the grains and yeast and see what we have available. We'll then design a beer around it, with every ingredient being used to make the beer. Pot Luck beer! Once the beer is brewed and bottled, we have a second "Pot Luck" to open the beer and have a tasting of it, and to eat "Pot Luck" food again, with all of the left over bottles of the "Pot Luck" beer split up equally and taken home.
