The award was presented by AHA Executive Director Julia Herz, who called it the &#8220;Highest Award in Homebrewing&#8221;.<\/p> <p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">First issued in 1998, the award is selected by the American Homebrewer&#8217;s Governing Committee each year to recognize a lifetime of outstanding service to the community of homebrewers. Brad said &#8220;I am deeply humbled and honored to receive this award. I never imagined the little Stout kit I first brewed in 1987 would lead to this.
