I just upgraded this week to BeerSmith3. It was working fine yesterday. Today the "Add Grain" menu is missing. This happened immediately after selecting "Set As Default".

The "Add Grain" button is now missing from, not only creating a new recipe, but also from all my previous recipes.

What to do? Gotta be able to add grain. (Will have to use BeerSmith2 until this is resolved).

Please help.

Thanks,
Paul

If you are on the desktop, open a recipe and go to the "Select Fields" button which is on the bottom right section. De-select any long fields.

The problem is that the program lets you pick long text fields which can actually throw off the layout and push the add buttons off the right of the screen.

I am using the desktop version. There is no "Select Fields" button.

Actually looking at the image you don't need to implement the fix mentioned above (which is for a different problem).

Instead, just use the "Add Fermentables" button instead of "Add Grain". We changed it to "Fermentables" in version 3 to reflect the fact that you have support for things like fruits, juice, honey, etc... now and not just grains. However the grains are still in the fermentable category.

I guess I must have figured that out yesterday; but I've slept since then. Sorry to have bothered you with this user error.

Thanks for your very quick responses.....
