The Session tab in BeerSmith Web has a field called “Batch Age”. It looks like this gets set to zero when a recipe is first entered and just keeps increasing from there. Does anyone know what this field is? How it’s initially set? How it’s calculated? Can it be reset? Just curious.

Solution
Yes it is calculated based on your recipe date and it shows the difference between the recipe date and today's date.

So if you set the brew date for your recipe, you can look at the recipe and see how old the beer (or other beverage) is. I use it a lot with aged beers and wines and meads that often need extended aging.
