Carbonating keg lid

Has anyone here used one of these, a carbonating keg lid? I found this on Amazon. Looks and sounds like a great idea, but what are you supposed to do once your beer is carbonated? I assume that you're supposed to switch out this lid with your regular lid so you can dispense your beer?

No need to switch out the lid. Just move the gas disconnect from the post on the lid to the gas in post on the keg,

I've got one of these and can't detect any difference (including carbonation time) from set and forget with the usual gas post.
