OK can you point me to the "whirlpool effect" when hopping?  It seems to be a technique I am not familiar with.  Persoanally, I am getting tired of IPA's.  Its an over down style IMHO.
 
Basically professional brewers use a whirlpool system and can add hops in after the boil at high temperature before transferring to the fermenter.

For home brewers, the similar method would be to steep the hops (after boil) in the pot while they are still hot, but before you transfer/chill to the fermenter.
