Hi all,


I currently upgraded my brewing equipment. I bought 2 15 gallons Bayou pots.  One is a mash tun and the 2nd is a kettle.  I measured out 1.75 gallons of dead space in the mash tun, I am trying to configure beer-smith to my new equipment to get better efficiency.  Does anyone else use the Bayou classic pots who can assist me in re-configuring my equipment?

Is that 1.75 gal of dead space which you cannot possibly recover?  It sounds like a large amount that if you tip the kettle you should be able to reduce.
