Help! B.S. 1.4 will not take my key after 2.0 install

Hello, I have had B.S. 1.4 since 2009. I purchased and installed 2.0 and now I can't open 1.4.
I enter my key and it tells me my demonstration copy has expired. How can I get to my old recipes?
Please help!
