Okay, my last brew was just before covid. I started cleaning up my equipment and looking through my recipes a few nights ago. This is when I noticed the web version, and so far, I think it's great! I do have some issues/questions.

  1. My desktop version is now VERY unstable. When I click OK or Save, the entire app shuts down without saving.
  2. I have a number of equipment, mash, fermentation profiles. How do I move those from desktop to web?
  3. I also have a number of custom water profiles. How can I move those over?

Are you on a Mac? If so you may need to grab the latest 3.2 version from the website to fix the stability issues.

You can move water profiles (and ingredients) for example by going to Ingredients->Water and clicking on the "Exchange Items" button on the ribbon bar in water view which lets you move items back and forth. If you don't have this button then please update first to 3.2 as noted above.

Hey, thanks a lot. I'm really enjoying the web version.

Thanks! I'm surprised more people don't use the web version as it has almost all of the features of the desktop.

Key word being "almost". Many of my recipes are from 19th century brewing records. Since none of those match current style guidelines I created custom style guides for Victorian era and Edwardian era beers. The web, at last check, does not support custom style guidelines.
