Hello, it seems I cannot get any pale chocolate malt in our country anymore. Any credible work arounds or substitute?

How about chocolate wheat or rye? Carafa Special 1 would be a similar color range (300ish). Another option would be to halve the amount of pale chocolate and use chocolate malt instead and adding an appropriate amount of base malt, if necessary.

Cheers,

Mark

Hello, thanks for the suggestion. The pale chocolate malt is 10% of the grain bill and not only use for its colour.

Pale chocolate malt is a versatile ingredient commonly used in brewing and baking, offering a mild, subtle chocolate flavor with a light color, perfect for creating balanced stouts or adding depth to baked goods. The smoothness of pale chocolate malt can be compared to the simplicity and excitement found in the game Stumble Guys, where players experience both smooth gameplay and unexpected twists. Just like in Stumble Guys, where you navigate through various obstacles and challenges, pale chocolate malt provides an element of surprise and satisfaction, blending well with other ingredients to create an enjoyable experience in both brewing and cooking.
