Sugar/extract added in secondary - how?

B

brewguy

In our next brew we want to add grapes to the secondary fermentation. We've added honey to secondary in othe rbrews as well.

But how do we add sugars/extracts in secondary fermentation and have BeerSmith do correct alcohol by volume calculation?
"Add Grain/Extract" doesn't allow for choosing secondary. "Add Misc..." doesn't allow for gravity modifying entries.

BeerSmith is excellent already, but fixing this would make the program even better.

Hi,
If you click on the "add after boil" option within the item itself (sugar/extract) it will still contribute to overall gravity but be added after the boil step.

Hello, I was wondering this same thing ( haha  first post and I even searched  ;) ) Ok I checked the box for "add after boil" But this does not change my estimated OG or ABV. I would think that it would. I like to add sugar to the primary about 2/3rds through on some of my high gravity Belgian beers to help dry them out. Am I doing something wrong?
