The units of the batch size etc should change if I change the units from imperial to metric and back.

I've also added on the Coopers ingredients. It seems that they give their IBUs and EBCs in litres per kilo so that the final bitterness should calculate as (Coopers value) x (weight of extract used in kilos) / (fermented volume in litres). Is there a way of putting these into Beersmith?

Hi,
To change units (the best way) close any open recipes, go to Options->Units and set the units as desired.  This will change everything over to the new settings (except Misc ingredients which each have their own unit type).

You can convert liters/kilos ibus/gallons as needed.  Its pretty trivial to calculate the conversion factor.
