Good day.

Is it possible to change yeast unit from pkg to grams?

Regards,

Chris.

I assumed so but I could not find it.

The way the program is set up right now, yeast units are set as pkg and cannot be changed.  The definition of a pkg is non-standard.  For my recipes, I define a pkg to be a gram of yeast slurry which facilitates my calculations from cell counts and slurry to the recipe.  I then set my cell count for the 'pkg' to reflect my cell count per gram of slurry and the BeerSmith calculations respond to that number to give me a pitching rate in grams of slurry (i.e. number of pkgs) which I need.

Thank you Oginme, jomebrew for answering.

Oginme, I look in BS3, and could not find a place to change the unit, as jomebrew confirmed as well.

I followed your advice, and configured pkg to be a gram, and it works for me now.

Thanks for the heads-up!

Regards,

Chris.
