Hi Guys.

As I'm preparing to brew on next weekend the Mash steps given by BS 2 are not clear to me as instructed in the "Brew Steps sheet".

Mash In Add 18,26 l of water at 70,6 C 64,4 C 75 min
◯ Batch sparge with 3 steps (Drain mash tun , 9,99l, 9,99l) of 75,6 C water

◯ Add water to achieve boil volume of 29,97 l

Should I Step the grains for 75 minutes ---> then drain the mash tun to add 9.99l -> drain again and add the last 9.9l

Any sugestions, I'm confused?

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Yes, you are reading it correctly.

You are doing a single infusion mash for 75 minutes.  Once the 75 minutes is up, vorlauf and drain what is in your mash tun into your brew kettle.  Add 9,99L of 75,6 C water...repeat the vorlauf / drain, and then do it again with 9,99L of sparge water.

You might want to check your equipment profile to insure that you have your volumes correct.

Thanks Dan

I'll double check my profile but last time it was accurate, still working on the Brewhouse Efficiency though.
