Open bsmx into already running app

Is there a reason beersmith can't open a file when it's already running? Just seems retarded.
 
When BeerSmith is running, you need to use File > Open File and navigate to the directory with the file you'd like to open.
 
I guess my suggestion would be that clicking a file would then just open to the already open app.
