Hi,

I just noticed in the recipe I am brewing that I have a negative quantity of sparge water to add.
The recipe is 18L, the mash in volume is 17.86 and the sparge amount is -3.05

Any hints?

Thanks,
Brian

Without seeing your recipe, the first thing I would look at is to make sure you have the 'Calc Boil Vol' box checked.

Hi,

Thanks for your quick reply! I poked around and went to Help but I can't seem to locate Calc Boil Vol as a check box (or any other way).

Thanks,
Brian

It is near the top of the design page and I think on the volume page.  Sorry, not at .you computer right now.

I found it. Now I feel blind.
It is checked. The total grain weight is 6.85 kilos.

Thanks,
Brian

If you could save and post the recipe as a .bmx file, I can open it and see if I can figure out what the program is doing to come up with a negative sparge.
