Anyone know if there's a way to host the data file on a Linux server so it can be accessed by different folks at different locations (assuming suitable licensing, of course)?

No - unfortunately running the data from a network drive is not possible.  BeerSmith has no checks that would prevent one copy from overwriting another, so if you try this you will likely see data loss as one copy overwrites another.

The best way to share data is using your cloud folder within BeerSmith - as that server has checks in place to prevent overwrite.
