Hi,

I guess most of you know of the STC1000 temp controller and many also know about the "plus" version where you can update the firmware on the STC1000 to get it to do ramping, profile based temperatures etc.

So my wish is that BeerSmith should be able to show how to program the STC+ based on the fermentation profile I have selected for a brew.
Today this is done by entering the values into a Excel spreadsheet that helps in how to program the STC+ but it would really be great if this could be built in to BS.

More info about STC+ for those of you that have not seen it:

Goodness, that's a LONG thread!  Is there a video start to finish on how to program your STC?  I got 4.

Their a few Youtube videos on how to do this. I'm sure you can do a search and find them. I've watch a couple but did not keep track of their names. To program the STC1000 you will have to use a Arduino  to connect to your computer to download the new firmware. It will require opening the STC1000 and either soldering a connector or trying to hold a connector to the STC1000 board. Their several other programs out there that use a Raspberry Pi to run a fermenting camber. The reason I have not program one of my STC1000 is I use a CAI Webcontroller to run my chamber. It allows me to use 8 temp sensors.

Yes, long thread :)
But there are a couple of people who sell them flashed and ready so the non-geeks can get just the function and not have to do the fun soldering and ardunio programming...
The STC+ profiles are entered using the buttons on the STC so the whole Ardunio stuff is basically a one time thing.

To cut the request short:
You build a profile on the STC+ by setting a start temp, duration (in hours) and end temp. Just as in BS.
There are two profile builders that should give some additional info about what output I'm looking for:
