Which Linux Distribution?
« on: October 16, 2007, 08:20:11 PM »
Hello all,
I'm going to install Linux on one of my systems for general use and possibly some future cross platform development.  It will go on a modern dual-core laptop dual boot with Vista.

Does anyone have any thoughts on which Linux distribution is both representative of the Linux community and suitable for some C++ development?

Thanks,
Brad

Well I used Ubuntu for about 5 years and it is great but even as easy as it is to use it can still be a bit tough. I started using PCLinuxOS about a month ago and have not looked back. Everything just works, I cant give it enough praise. I believe you can take a Windows user that has never heard of Linux and put PClinuxOS on their computer and they will love it.
