Do you like the idea of really showing off your skill as a brewer? Do you think that you could create great beer in less than idea circumstances? Would you be interested at a shot at more than $3000 worth of prizes - including a Chronical 7 gallon stainless fermentor fro SS Brew Tech?
If the answer to any of the above is "yes", then the 2015 BrewUnited Challenge may be for you!
You must use a limited set of ingredients - four specified grains (or extract equivalents), two varieties of hops (from a list of six approved varieties); choice of yeast is up to you. You then choose one of fifteen BJCP styles to compete in. Styles are organized into three Divisions - Hoppy, Malty, and Balanced beers - with great prizes to winners of each. The overall division winners will then compete in a final BOS for the grand prize.
Entries are $10 for the first beer, $5 for additional beers, with a maximum of three beers per brewer. This competition will only accept three hundred beers, and at the time of this posting (only five days after registration opened), more than half of those slots are already filled.
Judging takes place October 25th, though if you are interested, you clearly ought to register sooner rather than later. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
Happy Brewing!
