Can you clean the plastic connectors by submerging them in a jar of star san ??? or submerge the whole hose assembly in sanitizer??? I would rather not have to dis assemble them..

I don't disassemble them; rather flush them under the tap with the stem pushed open then a soak in Star San. I use a small sanitized brass hex bolt to push and hold open while flushing. I took one apart once and a thin, o-ring type gasket broke apart. Perhaps others have been successful in taking them apart but I don't.

I just loosen the yop of the connector a little until water will leak out. Then it can be soaked. Don't loosen it too much or you risk the pin mis aligning and bending. Cheap part to replace, but a bit of a hassle.
