Re hydrate yeast - boil first?

What I often do is take a cup or so of wort from the pot once it starts to boil, let it cool to room temperature, and use that to hydrate the yeast.

I would never suggest reading the directions and I NEVER read them myself! But, should you decide you would like to see what one manufacturer recommends, try this link: http://www.danstaryeast.com/company/products/belle-saison-beer-yeast

There's a link to the product data sheet at the bottom of the page which gives detailed handling instructions. I assume the manufacturer of your yeast has similar information available on-line.
