Howdy

New member from the PNW...Brewed one 5 gal batch of stout 29+ years ago and every one loved it so I quit while I was ahead.    Wife and I decided to turn our home grown grapes into wine this year so we re-bought all the equipment.  Once that was done I said what the heck "'I'm going to try some home brew beer again".  Just purchased the Beer Smith program and I'm am a little confused with some of it but sorting it out a bit here and there.
  Big porter and Stout fan, drink cheap pilsner's daily mostly  ...dislike all hoppy beers.  Big fan of Black Butte Porter,  Irish Death  caliber of beers.  Would like to learn to  home brew an equivalent.

Hairs white, not a lot of time left. Wife's still HOT,  Enjoying every day.
