I built a recirculating chiller from a pond pump.
To see the build, head over to www.domingoestradajr.com and click on the homebrewing tab to redirect to my blog. It is the latest post as of right now.
Is a pond pump going to be strong enough? I used a utility pump I got at Lowe's. It's self priming and very strong. I've added a picture of my cooling setup.
I did a test run on it. Worked pretty well. I got the 620 gallon per hour model after watching a how to video before buying iy and its what they suggested. Next thing i will build is a keg and carboy cleaner with 3/4" cpvc and post that build as well.
