Hey, I figured I would join in on this forum hoping that I could get some advice on a gift I was looking to buy my boyfriend. He is a pretty advanced home brewer. We're talking a significantly sized brewing set up that he invested a lot of money and time into (he designed and welded the entire thing himself). He makes great beer. One thing he doesn't have that he casually mentioned purchasing was a grain mill. I know nothing about the mills whatsoever and noticed while looking at them online that some of them go from about $200.00 to $2,000. I am not looking to drop a grand on a mill (at least not at this stage in our relationship ;) ). Any advice or thoughts on whether or not the Grain mills at the lower price point are worth buying? I appreciate any help I can get. Thank You. Cheers!

A great first grain mill is the Barley Crusher.  It fits on bucket, and has the hopper with it.

And you can Google it compare prices.

I too have and love my Barley Crusher with a 15Lb hopper.

Can't beat the Barley Crusher for a first grain mill.  I've been using mine for about a year now.  This thing has increased my efficiency so much over the homebrew shop's mill.
