stop timer beeping

When running the timer during a brew, I would like to be able to click on something to stop the beeping of the timer, or maybe some setting that would have it only beep once or twice. I searched help and the forum, but cannot find such a setting. If nothing else, how about being able to change the sound to something less abrupt?

so there is no way to stop the beeper when the timer goes off??? It seems to beep for WAY too long, I'd like to just click and stop it, but I can find no way to stop it. It is also an annoying sound, how can I change that?

Mine only beeps for 6 seconds. Just clicking the mouse or mouse pad shuts it off.
