I just moved to CO and would like to use the natural winter temperature to keep my beer fermentation at lager temps ~50 degrees. Is there something that would wrap around the conical (14.5 gallon) that I can hook into a temp. controller? I've seen them for carboys. I don't want to spend a lot. Any Ideas? Thanks, Hamms the beer refreshes.

What type of conical do you have?

Many brands now sell neoprene jackets and some sort of temp controller. I am going to pick up a SS BrewTech one shortly, in which they sell an add on temp controller and jacket to stabilize the temps.

What you're looking for is called a Brew Belt heater. They come in various sizes for fermenters.

Check MoreBeer or Northern Brewer.
