New laptop on the way and want to be prepared to transfer everything to it. What steps do I need to take to make sure I don't lose all of my brew sessions, data, and recipes? What steps do I need to take to be able to activate/license it properly? This is the first computer it has been on.

New Laptop...Transferring Beersmith

All of your recipes and custom profiles are in ...Documents/BeerSmith2
Copy that folder.
Go to Help > Activation. Your key will be on that popup.
After you install BeerSmith on your new computer, install the activation key. After activation is complete, you'll replace the Documents/BeerSmith2 that was created with the one from your old computer.
You should now see all of your recipes and custom profiles, just as before.
