Beginner extract brewer and new to BeerSmith.

Is there a way to know if a listed grain is a "specialty grain" intended for steeping or one really only used in all-grain (like flaked corn)?

Cheers!

If you look at the profile for a particular grain within BeerSmith, you will see a property which is titled "Must Mash".  If the property is 'true' then the grain needs to be mashed, if it is 'false' then it does not need to be mashed and can be steeped.
