Using BS 2.3.4. I Created new recipe but I can't enter Gravity or IBU. settings to save. Is that correct?  They stay at zero no matter what I do.
 
save the recipe as a .bsmx file ['file' > 'export selected'] and post it here.  We can then look at what you have and try to figure out where your issue is.
